 note = {application/pdf, 神戸市外国語大学, 中国雲南民族博物館, This paper describes and analyzes the phonology of the Menglun Akeu language [Yunnan Province, China], a Loloish language of the Lolo-Burmese branch of the Tibeto-Burman linguistic family, Sino-Tibetan linguistic stock. We have carried out linguistic fieldwork on this language four times since 2014, and obtained basic lexicons, elicited sentences, and collected some folk tales. Although there have been previous studies of the Akeu language, they have all described the varieties spoken in Myanmar/Burma and Thailand. This research is the first phonological study of Menglun Akeu.
Through analyses of phonetic-phonological interfaces, our conclusions on the Menglun Akeu phonological inventories can be summarized as follows...
