Logically speaking Nontserrat, Sanz In this paper I claim that, if Minimalist Premises about derivations are accepted, Logical Form as an interface level where syntactic (albeit covert) operations are performed should not be part of the model. I propose on analysis of Quantifier Raising and covert Whmovement phenomena that relies solely on features of the functional category Quantifier and on overt operations of Merging and Checking. The notions of c-command and scope are rejected as explanations for the ambiguities of sentences containing quantifiers.
